Job summary

Dairy Classic Ice Creams is seeking an Assistant Manager Supply Chain in India to oversee RM/PM and FG operations at the factory. The role ensures uninterrupted production through precise inventory planning, efficient manpower management across three shifts, and coordination with Supply Planning, Distribution Planning, and Logistics teams.

Key responsibilities include inventory control for RM/PM/FG, monthly stock counts, variance analysis, and ensuring FIFO/FEFO compliance.

Qualifications

• Commerce graduate with logistics focus; MBA preferred.
• 8–10 years FMCG manufacturing experience with RM/PM/FG operations.
• Strong stock control, variance analysis, and ERP/SAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage RM and PM stock at the factory in line with plans shared by the Supply Planner.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support weekly and monthly production plans.
• Conduct monthly physical stock counts for RM, PM, and FG.
• Analyze, report, and explain stock variances and take corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and adherence to FIFO/FEFO and warehouse norms.
• Coordinate with Supply Planner on weekly factory production plans.
• Align material availability with production schedules to avoid shortages or excess.
• Support production teams to ensure smooth execution of planned output.
• Receive Finished Goods dispatch plans and coordinate with Logistics for dispatch.
• Ensure on-time dispatch of FG to depots and monitor dispatch performance.
• FG stock accuracy and inventory management.
• Manage store manpower across all three shifts and ensure safety.

Job description

The Assistant Manager Supply Chain will be responsible for effective management of Raw Material (RM), Packaging Material (PM), and Finished Goods (FG) operations at the factory. The role ensures uninterrupted production through accurate inventory planning, efficient manpower management across three shifts, and seamless coordination with Supply Planning, Distribution Planning, and Logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Store Operations

• Manage RM and PM stock at the factory in line with plans shared by the Supply Planner.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support the weekly and monthly production plan.
• Conduct monthly physical stock counts for RM, PM, and FG.
• Analyze, report, and explain stock variances and take corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and adherence to FIFO/FEFO and warehouse quality norms.

Production & Planning Coordination

• Coordinate closely with the Supply Planner on weekly factory production plans.
• Align material availability with production schedules to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Support production teams to ensure smooth execution of planned output.

Finished Goods Dispatch & Logistics

• Receive Finished Goods dispatch plans from the Distribution Planning team.
• Coordinate with the Logistics team for timely placement of trucks and dispatch execution.
• Ensure on-time dispatch of finished goods to depots as per plan.
• Monitor dispatch performance and resolve any operational issues proactively.
• FG stock accuracy and inventory management

Manpower & Shift Management

• Manage and deploy store manpower across all three shifts through a team of Executives and Technicians.
• Ensure proper shift planning, productivity, discipline, and adherence to safety standards.
• Train and guide team members on store processes, systems, and compliance requirements.

Compliance & Process Improvement

• Ensure adherence to company policies, audit requirements, and statutory norms related to stores and logistics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy, productivity, and cost efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

Education:

• Commerce Graduate, Logistics related degree.
• MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (preferred)

Experience:

• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment, with hands-on exposure to RM, PM, and FG operations

Key Competencies:

• Strong understanding of FMCG supply chain and factory store operations
