Job summary

Jobs Hr Agency Vadodara is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Stores Manager to oversee plant store and warehouse operations in Maharashtra. The role emphasizes timely receipt, storage, and issue of materials, strict inventory control, and adherence to FIFO/FEFO principles.

The candidate will lead a team, coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, Finance, Engineering, and SCM, and drive continuous improvements while ensuring GMP compliance and safe handling of materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day plant store and warehouse operations.
• Ensure timely receipt, inspection, identification, and proper storage of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, engineering spares, and other materials.
• Ensure timely issuance of materials to Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments as per approved requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock reconciliation.
• Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.
• Ensure proper segregation, stacking, labeling, preservation, and identification of materials.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Quality, Finance, Engineering, and SCM teams for smooth material movement.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory and coordinate appropriate action.
• Ensure proper documentation for all material receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
• Ensure accurate and timely transactions in SAP/ERP systems.
• Monitor warehouse space utilization and ensure effective storage practices.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, safety, and workplace organization.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality standards, GMP requirements, and applicable statutory requirements.
• Lead, supervise, and develop store/warehouse team members.
• Allocate manpower and monitor team performance to achieve operational targets.
• Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to inventory and store operations.
• Coordinate with SCM Head for inventory planning, material availability, and operational priorities.
• Support internal, external, quality, and inventory audits.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, inventory optimization, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure safe handling of materials and proper use of material-handling equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in store and warehouse operations.
