Job summary

Pongalur Sri Annapoornis Sweets is seeking an RM Store In-charge to lead daily store operations, plan tasks, monitor stock levels and ensure FIFO and quality checks for raw materials.

You will coordinate with production, procurement, QA, and logistics to align material planning with production schedules and maintain precise documentation and traceability across the store and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in warehouse/store management or logistics.
• Strong understanding of inventory control and stock levels.
• Experience with ERP systems and stock movement processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee storage, handling, and movement of raw materials; ensure FIFO.

Position Name: RM Store In-charge

Reports To: Operation Manager

Responsibilities

Work Planning & Management

• Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to store personnel for efficient operations.
• Monitor workforce performance and ensure adherence to standard procedures.
• Ensure smooth coordination between store operations and production needs.

Product Procurement Monitoring

• Track raw material (RM) procurement, ensuring timely receipt from suppliers.
• Verify procurement compliance with quality and quantity standards.
• Work closely with the procurement team to address supply chain concerns.

Overall Product Management

• Oversee the storage, handling, and movement of raw materials.
• Ensure raw materials are stored under proper conditions to maintain quality and prevent spoilage.
• Conduct periodic quality checks on stored materials.

Stock Maintenance & Planning

• Maintain optimal stock levels to meet production demands without overstocking.
• Track inventory movement and implement FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Regularly update stock records and conduct physical stock verification.

Master bag Stock Maintenance

• Manage and track master bag stocks used for bulk handling and distribution.
• Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent contamination or damage.
• Maintain an updated inventory list for accurate stock assessment.

Coordination with Other Staff for Production Execution

• Work closely with production teams to ensure the availability of raw materials.
• Coordinate with procurement, quality control, and logistics to streamline production schedules.
• Address any material shortages or production disruptions proactively.

Reporting & Compliance Support

• Support internal and external audits
  • Provide traceability of any batch within minutes
  • Prepare Bi-monthly reports of:
    • Stock status
    • Consumption trends
    • Variance reports

Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate records of:
  • GRN + Inspection Report
  • COA
  • Approved Vendor List
  • Stock Register + Physical Verification
  • FIFO / FEFO Record
  • Batch Traceability Record (Batch No., Date, Status)
  • Temperature Log
  • Rejected / Hold Material Record
  • Cleaning & Pest Control Records
  • Equipment Monitoring & Calibration Records
  • Training Record
• Ensure documentation complies with audit requirements

Authority

• Approve raw material requisitions and stock replenishments.
• Verify incoming raw materials against purchase orders and quality standards.
• Enforce storage and inventory control procedures.
• Coordinate with production management for material planning.
• Approve workforce schedules for store operations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Efficiency in raw material stock maintenance and planning.
• Accuracy in procurement monitoring and compliance with quality standards.
• Effectiveness in work allocation and workforce management.
• Timeliness of raw material supply to production units.
• Minimized wastage and optimized storage conditions.
• Proper coordination with production teams for uninterrupted workflow.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in warehouse/store management, raw material handling, or logistics.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, procurement, and production coordination.
• Experience in tracking and managing stock levels using ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with suppliers, production teams, and procurement staff.
