Job summary

Euro India Fresh Foods is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee dispatch, transportation, warehouse coordination and inventory flow from the Chikhli facility to distributors and customers.

You will coordinate with production, sales, warehouse, accounts and procurement to ensure uninterrupted supply, optimize routes and control costs in a high-volume FMCG setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 47 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation or distribution.
  • Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods, retail distribution or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience in dispatch and transportation management.
  • Experience managing transporters, logistics vendors and vehicle operations.
  • Good understanding of warehouse and inventory processes.
  • Strong knowledge of route planning and logistics cost optimisation.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel and logistics/supply-chain MIS.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, coordination and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and team-management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage daily dispatch operations from the Chikhli manufacturing facility.
  • Coordinate movement of finished goods to distributors, depots, warehouses and other destinations.
  • Prepare dispatch plans based on sales orders, inventory availability and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of products while maintaining required service levels.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team for picking, loading, documentation and vehicle placement.
  • Monitor dispatch schedules and resolve delays, shortages or other operational issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all dispatches and shipments.
  • Manage relationships and day‑to‑day coordination with transporters, fleet operators and logistics vendors.
  • Plan vehicle requirements based on shipment volume and destination.
  • Allocate vehicles efficiently and optimise load utilisation.
  • Plan and optimise delivery routes to minimise transit time and transportation costs.
  • Negotiate and monitor transportation rates and service agreements.
  • Track vehicle movement and ensure timely delivery of shipments.
  • Monitor transporter performance, delays, damages and service issues.
  • Maintain records of freight costs, vehicle utilisation and transportation performance.
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure smooth product movement.
  • Monitor stock availability and ensure dispatches are aligned with inventory levels.
  • Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed wherever applicable.
  • Monitor finished goods ageing and identify slow-moving or ageing inventory.
  • Coordinate stock transfers between locations/warehouses when required.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage and loading of finished goods to minimise product damage.
  • Support periodic physical stock verification and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with Production, Sales, Warehouse, Accounts and Procurement teams to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Align dispatch planning with production schedules and customer/distributor requirements.
  • Monitor order fulfilment and identify potential supply or delivery bottlenecks.
  • Assist in improving end-to-end supply chain efficiency.
  • Analyse logistics data and identify opportunities for reducing costs and improving service levels.
  • Support demand and supply planning activities based on business requirements.
  • Monitor transportation and logistics costs and identify areas for cost optimisation.
  • Track KPIs: On-time delivery, Vehicle utilisation, Freight cost per shipment, Order fulfilment, Delivery turnaround time, Transit losses/damages, Warehouse dispatch accuracy.
  • Prepare regular logistics and supply-chain MIS reports for management.
  • Analyse operational data and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure logistics operations remain within approved budgets.
  • Supervise and coordinate logistics, dispatch and warehouse personnel.
  • Allocate responsibilities and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Coordinate with transporters, third-party logistics providers and other external vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve service-related issues.
  • Ensure adherence to company SOPs and operational processes.
  • Train and guide team members on dispatch and logistics procedures where required.
  • Ensure all transportation and dispatch documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable transportation and commercial documentation requirements.
  • Coordinate with Accounts for freight bills, transporter invoices and payment documentation.
  • Maintain proper records of shipments, deliveries, freight expenses and transporter performance.
  • Support internal audits and operational reviews related to logistics and supply chain.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager / Supply Chain Manager to manage and optimise the movement of finished goods from the manufacturing facility to distributors, warehouses and customers.

The candidate will be responsible for dispatch planning, transportation management, warehouse coordination, inventory movement, route planning, logistics cost control and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities
