Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end day-to-day operations of the mall, including housekeeping, security, facility management, parking and customer service.
• Ensure SOP adherence across all operational departments to maintain quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with tenants/retailers on operational issues, lease compliance and day-to-day grievances.
• Oversee vendor management for service contracts, housekeeping and security agencies.
• Monitor footfall, safety audits and statutory compliance (municipal, fire NOC, trade licenses).
• Plan preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing and escalators with the technical/MEP team.
• Prepare and manage operating budgets, control CAM costs and drive efficiency.
• Liaise with marketing and mall management teams to support events and footfall initiatives.
• Handle escalations and crisis management, ensuring timely resolution.

Position Title : Assistant Manager - Operations

Experience Required : 9 - 20 yrs

Location : Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

Salary: 7,00,000 10,00,000 per annum

Candidate must currently be, or have previously been, associated with Phoenix Mills Group or DLF Mall of India ONLY. Candidates without this specific background will not be entertained.

ABOUT DB MALLS

DB Malls Pvt. Ltd., a Dainik Bhaskar Group enterprise, operates premium retail and mixed-use properties across India, including mall operations and coworking spaces. We are looking for a seasoned Operations Manager to lead day-to-day mall operations at our Bhopal property, bringing best-in-class practices from India's leading retail destinations.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (MANDATORY)

• 7 to 12 years of total experience, with a substantial portion in mall operations management.
• Willingness to be based full-time in Bhopal.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage end-to-end day-to-day operations of the mall, ensuring smooth functioning across all verticals housekeeping, security, facility management, parking, and customer service.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all operational departments, maintaining consistency and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with tenants/retailers on operational issues, lease compliance, fit-out approvals, and day-to-day grievance redressal.
• Oversee vendor management for facility services, AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), housekeeping, and security agencies, ensuring service-level adherence.
• Monitor mall footfall, safety compliance, fire and life-safety audits, and statutory compliance (municipal, fire NOC, trade licenses, etc.).
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, escalators, and other mall infrastructure in coordination with the technical/MEP team.
• Prepare and manage operational budgets, control costs (CAM Common Area Maintenance), and drive operational efficiency.
• Liaise with marketing and mall management teams to support events, promotions, and footfall-driving initiatives without disrupting daily operations.
• Handle escalations related to customer complaints, emergencies, and crisis management, ensuring timely resolution.

• Lead, train, and mentor the on-ground operations team, ensuring high service standards and staff productivity.
• Ensuring RSI & CSI of mall above set benchmark
• Generate MIS reports and dashboards for senior management on operational KPIs, incident tracking, and compliance status.

• Sound knowledge of mall operations, facility management.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first orientation.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

• Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline; a degree or diploma in Facility Management, Business Administration, or Hospitality will be an added advantage.
