Job summary

Kiya.ai in Chennai is seeking an Application Production Support Engineer to manage L2 incidents, automate tasks, and coordinate with global teams. The role focuses on Linux, SQL, and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes within a hybrid work model.

You will drive ITIL processes, support HA/DR, and engage with stakeholders to ensure production stability and rapid issue resolution in a banking-like IT environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in 2nd line production support for applications and infrastructure.
• Hands-on Linux L2 administration and incident handling.
• Experience with ServiceNow for ITSM processes.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases (Oracle/SQL Server) and scripting.
• Automation and scripting with Python/Bash/PowerShell.
• Containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Monitoring with Dynatrace/ELK/Grafana and cloud familiarity (IBM Cloud).
• Understanding HA/DR and production resilience; strong problem solving and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 application and infrastructure production support within SLAs.
• Manage incidents, service requests and changes; perform root cause analysis.
• Troubleshoot across Linux, applications, databases and infrastructure.
• Monitor applications and infra using enterprise tools; run SQL queries.
• Collaborate with development, security and operations teams.
• Coordinate with global teams for issue resolution and knowledge transfer.
• Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, change and release management.
• Contribute to automation, process improvements, KPI reporting and resilience.

Hiring: Application Production Support Engineer ( mandate - Kubernetes, docker, devops tools )

Project: Banking Domain | Function: ITGP OPS / FPM

Work Location: Chennai
Work Model: Hybrid 10 days WFO per month
Notice Period: Immediate to Short Joiners preferred

Mandatory Skills

• Application Production Support / L2 Support experience
• Strong hands-on experience in Linux L2
