Job summary

Bhanix Finance and Investment Limited (CASHe) seeks a Sr. Software Engineer Production Support to join the Production Support team in Hyderabad. You will provide L2/L3 support for Java-based applications, monitor health and performance, and resolve incidents within SLAs.

The role requires strong SQL, Linux, and cloud basics familiarity, along with experience in ITIL processes and cross-functional collaboration with Dev, QA, DevOps, and DBA teams. On-call and shift rotations are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3-6 years of experience in Application Production Support or Production environments.
• Strong experience with Java and related tech stack for production support.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based web and mobile applications.
• Monitor health, transactions, batch jobs, and performance to ensure high availability.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents within SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
• Analyze logs and alerts to identify and resolve issues.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and support operations.
• Collaborate with Dev, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, DBA, and Business teams.
• Support production deployments and post-deployment verification.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management per ITIL.
• Maintain production support documentation and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call support and rotational shifts.

Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer Production Support

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for Java-based web and mobile applications.
• Monitor application health, transaction processing, batch jobs, and system performance to ensure high availability.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and implement preventive actions.
• Analyze application logs and system alerts to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data, troubleshoot issues, and support business operations.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Database Administration (DBA), and Business teams to resolve complex production issues.
• Support production deployments, application releases, configuration changes, and post‑deployment verification.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities following ITIL best practices.
• Maintain production support documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards applicable to financial applications.
• Participate in on‑call support and rotational shifts to provide 247 production support.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience supporting Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices based applications.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning, and data analysis.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with application servers such as Apache Tomcat or JBoss.
• Experience using monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is preferred.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ is an advantage.

FinTech Domain Knowledge

• Experience supporting Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech applications.
• Understanding of payment processing, transaction management, reconciliation, and digital payment ecosystems.
• Knowledge of payment channels such as UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, card payments, or digital wallets is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 36 years of experience in Application Production Support or Production

Operations.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production support environment
