Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Pune is seeking an experienced Application Support / Production Support Engineer to manage application health, incident response, and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and automation.

The ideal candidate will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize releases, collaborate with development and infrastructure teams, and implement RCA and preventive measures while ensuring SLA/SLO targets and on-call readiness.

Qualifications

7-14 years of relevant experience in application support and production support.
Experience in incident management, problem management, and change management.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD, automation, and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 production support for critical business applications.
Monitor application health and proactively address issues to minimize downtime.
Manage and resolve production incidents, service requests, and problem tickets.
Ensure compliance with SLA, SLO, and operational KPIs.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to support releases.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Automate routine operational tasks using scripting.
Support deployment, release management, and configuration management activities.
Monitor applications and infrastructure with monitoring tools.
Maintain system documentation and runbooks.
Participate in on-call support and incident response activities.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and CI/CD pipelines while ensuring adherence to SLA and SLO targets.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L2/L3 production support for critical business applications.
Monitor application health and proactively address issues to minimize downtime.
Manage and resolve production incidents, service requests, and problem tickets.
Ensure compliance with SLA, SLO, and operational KPIs.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to support application releases.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
Automate routine operational tasks using Shell Scripting and Python.
Support deployment, release management, and configuration management activities.
Monitor applications and infrastructure using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
Maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
Participate in on-call support and incident response activities.
