Job summary

Ocean Sky Logistics in India is seeking an experienced Air & Sea Pricing Manager to develop competitive pricing for import and export shipments. You will manage rates with airlines, shipping lines, and overseas partners, while ensuring profitability and quick responses to customer requirements.

The role requires strong knowledge of air and sea freight, price negotiation, and the ability to craft quotations for the sales team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding pricing.
• Practical knowledge of Air Freight and Sea Freight.
• Experience in both Import and Export pricing will be preferred.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of freight, origin/destination and local charges.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Air & Sea Freight import and export pricing.
• Obtain and negotiate rates with airlines, shipping lines, NVOCCs, co-loaders and overseas partners.
• Prepare competitive freight quotations for customers and the sales team.
• Analyse market rates and monitor changes in freight pricing.
• Maintain updated airline, shipping line and vendor rate sheets.
• Develop pricing strategies for key international trade lanes.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations and overseas agents for quotation requirements.
• Ensure quotations are commercially competitive while maintaining company margins.
• Handle spot rates, contract rates and customer-specific pricing.
• Analyse buying rates, selling rates and gross profit margins.
• Support the sales team with pricing solutions for new business opportunities.
• Identify cost-saving and margin-improvement opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors and overseas logistics partners.
• Respond quickly to urgent rate requests and time-sensitive business opportunities.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure quoted services and costs are operationally feasible.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Air & Sea Freight Pricing Manager to manage and develop competitive pricing for international import and export shipments.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of air freight and sea freight rates, carrier pricing, shipping lines, airlines, overseas agents, freight forwarding operations and international trade lanes.

You will be responsible for developing competitive quotations while ensuring profitability, service quality and quick response to customer and sales requirements.

• Experience negotiating rates with airlines, shipping lines, NVOCCs and vendors.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of freight, origin/destination and local charges.
• Ability to calculate selling rates and profitability accurately.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet quotation deadlines.
• Good command of MS Excel and other office applications.
• Experience with freight forwarding software/TMS/ERP will be an advantage.
