Job summary

Bonanza International Forwarders in Delhi is seeking an Import & Export Operations & Pricing Executive with hands-on experience in Air & Ocean Freight. You will manage shipments from inquiry to delivery, obtain competitive rates, prepare quotations and coordinate with carriers, CHA, and overseas agents.

The role emphasizes maintaining healthy margins, timely documentation, rate negotiations, and supporting sales with rapid pricing for RFQs and tenders.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end Import & Export Operations for Air & Sea Freight.
• Strong freight costing knowledge and ability to prepare quotations.
• Proficiency in Incoterms and international shipping documentation.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial skills with carriers and overseas agents.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end Import & Export shipments for Air and Sea Freight.
• Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, CHA/customs brokers and transporters.
• Manage shipment bookings, documentation, pre-alerts, BL/AWB, shipping instructions and shipment tracking.
• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure timely movement of cargo.
• Monitor vessel/flight schedules, transshipment, arrival and delivery status.
• Handle operational issues and provide timely solutions to customers.
• Ensure accurate and timely shipment updates to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain proper shipment records and documentation.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Import & Export Operations & Pricing Executive with strong hands-on experience in Air & Ocean Freight, Import/Export Operations, Freight Pricing and Customer Coordination.

The candidate will be responsible for managing shipments from inquiry to final delivery, obtaining competitive freight rates, preparing quotations, coordinating with shipping lines/airlines, overseas agents, CHA/customs brokers and transporters, and ensuring healthy margins for the company.

Key Responsibilities

Import & Export Operations

• Handle end-to-end Import & Export shipments for Air and Sea Freight.
• Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, CHA/customs brokers and transporters.
• Manage shipment bookings, documentation, pre-alerts, BL/AWB, shipping instructions and shipment tracking.
• Coordinate customs clearance and ensure timely movement of cargo.
• Monitor vessel/flight schedules, transshipment, arrival and delivery status.
• Handle operational issues and provide timely solutions to customers.
• Ensure accurate and timely shipment updates to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain proper shipment records and documentation.

Pricing & Commercial

• Obtain competitive freight rates from shipping lines, airlines, NVOCCs, overseas agents and transporters.
• Prepare Import & Export quotations for Air, FCL and LCL shipments.
• Calculate complete costing including freight, origin/destination charges, transportation, documentation and other applicable charges.
• Maintain healthy profit margins while offering competitive pricing.
• Negotiate rates with shipping lines, airlines, vendors and overseas agents.
• Maintain updated rate sheets, tariff files and pricing databases.
• Track rate validity, surcharges, free days, routing and service schedules.
• Support the Sales team with quick pricing for new business, RFQs, tenders and spot enquiries.
• Analyze market freight trends and identify cost-effective routing and carrier options.

Coordination & Customer Service

• Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to convert enquiries into business.
• Ensure quotations are submitted within agreed turnaround time.
• Follow up on quotations and coordinate with customers for clarification.
• Build strong relationships with carriers, overseas agents and service providers.
• Ensure smooth handover from pricing to operations after confirmation.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Import & Export Operations and Pricing.
• Experience in Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL) and Air Freight.
• Good knowledge of Incoterms, freight costing and international shipping documentation.
• Strong knowledge of shipping lines, airlines, NVOCCs and overseas agents.
• Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
• Strong MS Excel and analytical skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and shipments simultaneously.
• Strong follow-up and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict quotation and shipment deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates from Freight Forwarding, NVOCC, Shipping or International Logistics companies will be preferred.

Candidates having experience in both Operations and Pricing with a strong understanding of international trade lanes will have an added advantage.
