Job summary

Ocean Sky Logistics is seeking an experienced Air Export Pricing Manager to lead pricing strategies for international export shipments from India. You will manage quotations, obtain competitive airline rates, and negotiate commercial terms with carriers and vendors.

The role requires deep knowledge of air export rates, routing, and trade lanes, with the ability to develop profitable pricing solutions and support the sales team in winning new business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 35 years of experience in Air Export Pricing within an International Freight Forwarding company.
• Strong knowledge of international Air Freight Export operations.
• Experience obtaining and negotiating rates with airlines, GSAs and co-loaders.
• Good understanding of airline pricing, routing and capacity.
• Knowledge of chargeable weight and Air Freight rate calculations.
• Experience preparing quotations for international customers and overseas agents.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Air Export Freight Pricing and Quotations.
• Obtain competitive Air Freight rates from airlines, GSA partners, co-loaders and other approved vendors.
• Negotiate Air Freight rates and commercial terms with airlines and service providers.
• Prepare competitive and profitable quotations for customers and the Sales team.
• Handle spot rates, contract rates and customer-specific pricing.
• Analyse airline rates, surcharges, handling charges and other applicable costs.
• Monitor changes in Air Freight market rates, airline capacity and available routing options.
• Develop pricing solutions for major international trade lanes.
• Coordinate with the Sales team to support new business opportunities.
• Ensure quotations are commercially viable while maintaining profit margins.

About the Role

Ocean Sky Logistics is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Air Export Pricing Manager to manage and develop competitive Air Freight pricing solutions for international export shipments from India.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Air Export Freight Rates, Airlines, Routing, Trade Lanes, Carrier Negotiations and International Freight Forwarding Pricing.

The selected candidate will be responsible for obtaining competitive rates, preparing profitable quotations, negotiating with airlines and vendors, supporting the Sales team and developing strong pricing solutions for Air Export business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily Air Export Freight Pricing and Quotations.
• Obtain competitive Air Freight rates from airlines, GSA partners, co-loaders and other approved vendors.
• Negotiate Air Freight rates and commercial terms with airlines and service providers.
• Prepare competitive and profitable quotations for customers and the Sales team.
• Handle spot rates, contract rates and customer-specific pricing.
• Analyse airline rates, surcharges, handling charges and other applicable costs.
• Monitor changes in Air Freight market rates, airline capacity and available routing options.
• Develop competitive pricing solutions for major international trade lanes.
• Coordinate closely with the Sales team to support new business opportunities.
• Ensure quotations are commercially viable while maintaining appropriate profit margins.
• Compare airline options based on rate, transit time, routing and service availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, GSA partners, co-loaders and vendors.
• Maintain updated Air Freight rate sheets and pricing records.
• Respond quickly to urgent pricing requests and time-sensitive enquiries.
• Coordinate with Air Export Operations to ensure quoted services are operationally feasible.
• Support management with market intelligence, pricing trends and commercial opportunities.

Required Experience & Qualifications

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 35 years of experience in Air Export Pricing within an International Freight Forwarding company.
• Strong knowledge of international Air Freight Export operations.
• Experience obtaining and negotiating rates with airlines, GSAs and co-loaders.
• Good understanding of airline pricing, routing and capacity.
• Knowledge of chargeable weight and Air Freight rate calculations.
• Experience preparing quotations for international customers and overseas agents.
• Strong understanding of major international trade lanes.
• Knowledge of applicable surcharges and local handling charges.
• Ability to analyse buying rates, selling rates and profitability.
• Graduate degree/diploma in a relevant field will be preferred.
