Sigmar Recruitment is recruiting for a Service Operations Manager for a growing Irish engineering services company in Leixlip, Co. Kildare. You will lead a large field service team and oversee both planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.

You will drive continuous improvement, develop the team, and enhance operational efficiency while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. A technical background is advantageous but not essential.

Formación

• Experience in a Service Operations Manager or similar senior role within tech/maintenance teams.
• Proven ability to manage large technical or maintenance workforces.
• Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance operations.

Responsabilidades

Sigmar Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Service Operations Manager on behalf of a growing Irish engineering services company based in Leixlip, Co. Kildare.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Operations Manager to lead a large technical service department, overseeing planned and reactive maintenance operations across multiple customer sites.

The business is experiencing significant growth, with the service department expected to expand considerably over the coming years. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the team, improving operational efficiencies and driving continuous improvement across the department.

The Role

• Lead, manage and develop a team of field service engineers, team leaders and operational support staff.
• Oversee daily service operations, including planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Manage scheduling, resource allocation and workloads to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Monitor and improve operational KPIs, including productivity, response times, service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance.
• Drive a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement across the department.
• Support the growth and development of the service team as the business continues to expand.
• Manage technical and operational escalations, ensuring issues are resolved effectively.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure service levels are consistently achieved.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, quality standards and company procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a Service Operations Manager, Field Service Manager, Maintenance Manager, Technical Services Manager or similar position.
• Proven experience managing and developing large technical or maintenance teams.
• Strong understanding of planned and reactive maintenance operations.
• Experience managing scheduling, resource allocation and operational performance.
• Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives and improve operational efficiencies.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to drive change and improve team performance.
• Experience managing KPIs and delivering against operational targets.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A technical or engineering background would be advantageous but is not essential.

Candidates from a range of industries will be considered, including engineering services, utilities, facilities management, industrial maintenance and other technical service environments.
