Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead a team of ~30 across engineering and support functions in Ireland. You will drive operational performance, manage budgets, improve workshop efficiency and uphold high safety standards.

You will oversee service operations, monitor KPIs, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining excellent customer service. A strong mechanical background and proven leadership are essential for this role in a busy enterprise.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large teams in service/ workshop environments.
• Strong mechanical/technical understanding of plant machinery or heavy equipment.
• Experience with budgeting and cost control; financial awareness.

Job description

I am looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead a team of approximately 30 employees across engineering and support functions throughout the Republic of Ireland.

You will be responsible for driving operational performance, managing budgets, improving workshop efficiency and ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining high health and safety standards.

• Manage departmental budgets, financial targets and performance.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Service Manager, Workshop Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong mechanical and technical understanding, ideally within plant machinery or heavy equipment.
• Experience managing large teams and developing employees.
• Good financial awareness, including budgeting and cost control.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of CAT machinery would be advantageous.
