Job summary

Your new role

As a Commercial Broker, you will manage and develop a portfolio of large SME and corporate clients, while also contributing to the wider growth strategy. The role combines technical expertise, client relationship management, and business development. You will deliver tailored solutions, negotiate and place insurance programmes across multiple lines, and play a key role in succession planning by supporting and mentoring junior colleagues.

The focus will be on Leinster and can be based in most counties in the South East, with particular interest in candidates based in Carlow and Laois. Hybrid working is available (3 days office / 2 days remote), with the expectation of regular client visits.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Commercial Broker, ideally with exposure to large SME and corporate accounts.
• Strong technical knowledge across commercial lines (Construction, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Retail, Technology, PI, Cyber).
• CIP, MDI, or ACII qualified (or working towards completion).
• Proven track record of portfolio management, retention, and new business development.
• Strong client relationship and negotiation skills.
• Experience using Applied Relay advantageous, with good IT proficiency (Word, Excel).
• Highly self-motivated, organised, and commercially driven.
