Job summary

ICON Clinical Research seeks a Payroll Manager to lead the payroll team and oversee payroll operations for the US and Canada. The role reports to the Finance Director based in Dublin and involves collaboration with HR, Finance, Legal, and Tax to ensure accurate, timely payrolls and SOX-compliant processes.

The successful candidate will manage bi-weekly payroll delivery, analyze data, generate management reports, and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years managing a team of payroll associates.
• Strong knowledge of US and Canadian payroll and related controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the payroll team to deliver accurate, timely payrolls for US and Canada.
• Ensure payroll processes adhere to internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Coordinate with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Legal, Tax).
• Deliver bi-weekly payroll processing with accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide reports and analytics to management and drive process improvements.
