Job summary

Bon Secours Hospital Cork is seeking a Clerical Officer Grade III to join the Outpatients Areas. This full-time role offers 35 hours per week on a 12-month fixed-term contract and involves providing essential administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The successful candidate will handle administrative tasks across Bon Secours Hospital Cork and related facilities, with duties including appointment scheduling, patient records handling, and high standards of confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Relevant Business/Administration or IT qualification.
• Proven clerical or administrative experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office; ECDL certification desirable.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills; ability to work independently.
• Proven track record in providing excellent customer service.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology (desirable).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Experience with appointment scheduling beneficial.
