Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an outpatient receptionist/clerical officer to support clinicians, nurses and patients in a confidential, efficient outpatient setting at Raigmore. You will ensure the patient management system is kept up to date and provide a first-line contact for attending patients.

You must be able to work as part of a team or lone worker in a satellite clinic. On-the-job training is provided for a 36-hour week, covering 0800-1800 with weekend and evening shifts until 2000.

Qualifications

• Team player or able to work independently in a satellite clinic environment.
• Administrative duties within central records may be required.
• On-the-job training provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential, efficient outpatient administration for clinicians, nursing staff and patients.
• Maintain and update the patient management system (TrakCare) accurately.
• Act as first point of contact for patients attending Outpatient Clinics at Raigmore.
