Job summary

GS Group is seeking an Onsite IT Engineer to provide hands-on technical support on site in Kilkenny, Ireland. You will address end-user issues and ensure IT services remain operational with a company van, mobile phone, and laptop supplied.

You will triage and resolve Level 1 and 2 incidents, perform PC builds and hardware replacements, and maintain accurate ticketing and asset records across a multi-site business. Strong customer service and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows desktops, Microsoft 365, printers, networking, and end‑user devices.
• Experience supporting users in a multi-site business environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage incidents independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite deskside and floor-walking end-user support.
• Triage, investigate, and resolve Level 1–2 incidents and service requests.
• Understand Networking, DNS & DHCP.
• Perform PC builds, user setups, hardware replacements, and peripheral installations.
• Complete routine operational checks and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 3 or specialists.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates, documentation, and asset records.

We are partnered with an established MSP based in Ireland who are looking are currently going through a period of growth and looking to bring in an Onsite Engineer to provide hands‑on technical support on site, ensuring end‑user issues are resolved efficiently, and IT services remain operational.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite deskside and floor-walking support to end users.
• Triage, investigate, and resolve Level 1 and Level 2 technical incidents and service requests.
• Understanding of Networking, DNS & DHCP.
• Perform PC builds, user setups, hardware replacements, and peripheral installations.
• Complete routine operational checks and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 3 or specialist teams where required.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates, documentation, and asset records.
