Job summary

Fusion People are recruiting a Kilkenny-based EPOS Field Engineer to cover Kilkenny and the South East. The role is entirely field-based, requiring travel across the region to install, fix and upgrade EPOS systems for a national retail customer base.

You will work a 37.5-hour week with on-call duties and overtime paid. A company van is provided to take home, tools and equipment are supplied, and this is a permanent role with ongoing investment in the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a field or mobile engineer.
• Comfortable covering a wide area with plenty of time on the road.
• EPOS ideally, though a high level IT and hardware background with field experience will be looked at.
• Clean Irish or EU driving licence.
• Right to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Travel across Kilkenny and the south east to deliver break fix, installations, IMAC, upgrades and decommissioning.
• Work across a national retail customer base with multiple sites per day.
• Provide remedial shop fitting work as required.

EPOS Field Engineer - Kilkenny and South East

€33,000 to €39,000 + van home + paid overtime

Permanent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer based in Kilkenny, working for a leading Irish retail IT and infrastructure specialist. Commutable from Kilkenny city, Callan, Thomastown, Castlecomer, Carlow and Waterford.

Kilkenny and the immediate south east will be your main area, though the role covers a broad region. You will travel into neighbouring counties and across Munster as customer workload dictates, so a high degree of flexibility on travel and hours is needed.

The role is entirely on the road. You will deliver break fix, installations, IMAC, upgrades, decommissioning and remedial shop fitting work across a national retail customer base, typically covering several sites a day.

Package

€39,000 achievable for the right experience

• Van taken home, tools and equipment provided
• 37.5 hour week
• On-call 1 in 3 weeks with a €250 allowance
• Out of hours paid at time and a half, Sundays and bank holidays at double time
