Job summary

iPing Limited in Dublin is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our hands-on team. You will handle first and second line support for SME clients, resolving day-to-day issues and maintaining secure, reliable systems on-site around Dublin.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT support, strong Microsoft 365 administration, Windows troubleshooting, and networking fundamentals, with a client-focused approach and willingness to travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT support or helpdesk, ideally within an MSP or multi-client environment.
• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
• Strong Windows desktop and server troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
• Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems
• Excellent communication skills and a genuinely client-focused attitude
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites
• Eligible to work in Ireland

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve client support tickets across desktop, network, and cloud environments (first and second line)
• Provide remote and on-site support to SME clients around Dublin
• Administer Microsoft 365, Windows desktops/servers, and common business applications
• Set up, configure, and deploy end-user hardware and software
• Support network infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls (e.g. SonicWall), and Wi-Fi
• Manage user accounts, access provisioning, and offboarding in line with security policy
• Monitor backups and respond to alerts; escalates and remediate issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of client systems and ticket activity
• Follow security and data-protection procedures at all times (iPing operates to ISO 27001 standards)
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers and contribute to their resolution
