Job summary

Join Ashford Castle, part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, as a Reservations Agent. You will be the first contact for guests, handling calls, emails and bookings with a focus on accuracy and guest satisfaction.

The role requires experience in reservations or front desk within hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced luxury environment. Island-hospitality culture, full-time, with weekend/work holiday considerations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in reservations, call centre, or front desk within hotel or hospitality.
• Exceptional communication skills and telephone manner.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel reservation systems (e.g. Opera, SynXis, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist with reservation requests, confirmations, cancellations, and general questions.
• Understand promotions, pricing and sales strategies to exceed guest expectations.
• Respond to email requests about the hotel in a professional manner.
• Recommend and book F&B outlets, activities and spa when guests book.
