Job summary

Bon Secours Hospital Cork is seeking a Clerical Officer Grade III to provide administrative support to the Laboratory and Administration team. The role requires experience in typing, data entry, invoicing and cash handling, with strong MS Office and potentially PIMS knowledge.

Good communication, English fluency and attention to detail are essential. The post is full-time, specified purpose, with opportunities to contribute within a values-driven health system and equal opportunities workplace.

Qualifications

• A relevant Business/Administration and/or IT qualification with high proficiency in the same
• Excellent Microsoft skills; ECDL is desirable
• Ability to invoice, receipt and reconcile cash as required
• Typing & dictation experience plus data entry is desirable
• Knowledge of PIMS is desirable
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with proactive, can-do approach
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and processes
• Strong attention to detail and highly organised
• Fluency in English both spoken and written is a prerequisite
• Some experience with scheduling appointments will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Laboratory and the Administration team
• Support invoicing, receipt and cash reconciliation processes
• Assist with typing, dictation and data entry tasks
• Utilise PIMS where applicable and maintain accurate records
