Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment is helping an established technology company in Dublin hire a Junior IT / Customer Support person. The role blends customer service, administration, reporting and coordination, with full training on Android and related tech.

You will be the main contact for customers, schedule device updates, maintain records and prepare reports while coordinating rollout timelines with internal teams. This is not a highly technical position; strong organisation and a customer‑focused

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, administration, coordination or technical support.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple customers and tasks.
• Experience with reporting, spreadsheets and maintaining accurate records.
• Good general IT knowledge and confidence using technology.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a key point of contact for customers
• Coordinating and scheduling mobile device updates
• Keeping customers informed on progress and timelines
• Maintaining accurate customer and device records
• Preparing reports and providing regular updates
• Coordinating testing and rollout schedules with internal teams
• Following up with customers after updates
• Escalating technical issues when required
• Supporting basic Android device setup and configuration
