Job summary

Interactive Displays in Ireland is seeking a practical Tech Support Specialist to assist customers and internal teams with hardware prep, basic troubleshooting, and day-to-day technical queries.

You’ll configure digital signage screens, Android devices, and media players before installation, provide first-line support, document issues, and help test new apps and features. A hands-on role with room to grow.

Qualifications

• Experience with Android devices and basic IT support.
• Good understanding of Wi‑Fi, network basics, and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills and customer-friendly attitude.
• Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records.
• Full driving licence an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Configure and prepare digital signage screens, kiosks, media players, and Android devices before installation.
• Install required apps, apply updates, and complete Wi-Fi/ethernet setup.
• Run basic tests on hardware to ensure quality and functionality.
• Label, package, and document prepared devices for dispatch.
• Provide first-line customer support by phone, email, and remote tools.
• Troubleshoot issues with Android devices, digital signage, software players, and network connectivity.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians when needed.
• Maintain accurate support logs and case notes.
• Coordinate with the Stores Coordinator for stock required for technical tasks.
• Keep internal documentation up to date (setup instructions, checklists, FAQs).
• Log device serial numbers and configuration details into the management system.
• Suggest improvements to setup workflows and support processes.
• Help test new apps, features, and hardware before customer deployment.
• Health & Safety: follow company policies.
