The Royal Marine Hotel, renowned for its location overlooking Dublin Bay and its beautifully landscaped gardens, is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our established and supportive kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef to develop their skills in a high-quality, fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Based on the Dublin coast, you will assist senior chefs across outlets, prepare and present dishes to standard, and maintain HACCP-compliant hygiene while delivering great

Qualifications

• Genuine interest and passion for food and cooking.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and cleanliness.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
• A positive team player with good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, develop, and take on feedback.
• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant is an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs with the preparation, production, and service of food across all outlets.
• Prepare, cook, and present dishes on the assigned section to the required standard.
• Support service delivery for both internal and external guests.
• Complete and update production sheets accurately on a daily basis.
• Ensure food is prepared and delivered to the correct area in a timely manner.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work station at all times.
• Report any faults with equipment, fixtures, or fittings to the supervising chef and ensure equipment is used correctly.
