Job summary

The K Club is a resort near Dublin seeking a dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the South Bar & Restaurant Manager and lead the team at our renowned venue.

You will oversee daily service, rosters, and coordination of staff to ensure smooth food and beverage operations across events and dining spaces. A hospitality background and strong guest focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Hospitality professional with prior experience in a similar role.
• Strong customer service skills and guest-focused approach.
• Financial awareness and ability to manage costs and schedules.
• Flexible and proactive approach within the restaurant team.
• Ability to train and assist in developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist South Bar & Restaurant Manager with service and guest flow.
• Manage rosters and staff allocations based on activity and events.
• Coordinate daily operations and ensure smooth F&B service across spaces.
• Contribute to staff training and maintain Training Manuals with supervisors.
• Promote teamwork and a positive atmosphere across departments.
• Assist with restaurant bookings and guest communications.

This role will support South Bar & Restaurant Manger and the Team. This is an Assistant to a HOD role.

Here’s how you’ll bring the K Club’s trailblazing vision to life:

• To assist with the food and beverage service at South Bar & Restaurant
• To work with the South Bar & Restaurant Manager to manage the roster and schedule for the team based on activities and business levels
• Coordinate the daily work and activities of staff. Allocate stations and duties as appropriate.
• Identify training needs and assist the South Bar & Restaurant Manager to write and maintain effective Training Manuals with the other supervising staff members and ensure their implementation with new and existing staff.
• To assist in the smooth, efficient running of the restaurant & function spaces in relation to food & beverage service
• Promote a sense of team spirit and a positive working atmosphere within the restaurant and with all other departments.
• Ensure that both you and your team are fully conversant with all dishes on the menus to advise guests with their choice and to take the order accurately.
• Manage restaurant bookings as appropriate, verifying all resident guests to be accounted for and confirming non resident guests.
