Job summary

Orange Recruitment is seeking an experienced Aftersales Manager for a busy North Dublin dealer group. You will lead the service and parts operation, driving performance, managing a multi-disciplinary team and maintaining high standards of customer care.

You will develop strategies to improve loyalty, supervise Service Advisors and Technicians, and ensure adherence to manufacturer standards while managing budgets and resources.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the daily operation of the service and aftersales department; drive performance and efficiency.

• Monitor labour sales, profitability and workshop efficiency; analyse KPIs and implement improvements.
• Ensure standards, safety, and customer care throughout the aftersales journey.
• Work with senior management to deliver business objectives and growth plans.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced automotive professional to take charge of a busy aftersales operation within a well-established dealer group in North Dublin. With a strong reputation for customer service and continued investment in its people and facilities, the business is seeking an ambitious Aftersales Manager who can lead from the front, drive performance, and continue to raise standards across both the workshop and customer-facing teams.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the overall success of the service and parts operation. The successful candidate will be trusted to make key commercial and operational decisions while developing a high-performing team that consistently delivers excellent results for both customers and the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of the daily operation of the service and aftersales department.
• Drive workshop performance through effective planning, scheduling and resource management.
• Monitor labour sales, departmental profitability and workshop efficiency.
• Analyse key performance indicators and introduce improvements where necessary.
• Ensure workshop capacity is utilised effectively while maintaining service quality.
• Maintain high standards of customer care throughout the entire aftersales journey.
• Handle customer concerns and complex cases in a professional manner.
• Develop strategies to improve customer loyalty and repeat business.
• Lead and support Service Advisors, Technicians, Workshop Controllers and Parts staff.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and coaching sessions.
• Identify opportunities for staff development and ongoing training.
• Support apprentice development and succession planning initiatives.
• Ensure all manufacturer standards and operational procedures are followed.
• Oversee health and safety compliance across the department.
• Manage departmental budgets, costs and resources effectively.
• Drive a positive team culture built around performance, accountability and customer service.
• Ensure accurate use of systems, processes and reporting tools.
• Work closely with senior management to achieve business objectives and growth plans.

• Previous experience managing a busy automotive service or aftersales operation.
• Strong commercial awareness with a track record of achieving performance targets.
• Proven leadership experience managing and motivating multi-disciplinary teams.

• Full clean driving licence.
