FRS Recruitment is assisting a motor dealership in West Cork within a short commute of Cork City to recruit a Service Manager. You will own the day-to-day running of the Service and Workshop Department, leading a small, experienced team and working closely with the business owner.

Ideal candidates include those with Service Management or Workshop Control experience, or a qualified mechanic ready for management. Strong customer focus and hands-on leadership are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 5 Technicians and 1 Service Advisor.
• Plan and coordinate daily workshop activity, allocating jobs and managing workflow.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and vehicles are turned around within agreed timescales.
• Monitor workshop productivity, hours sold and departmental performance.
• Support customers with complex repairs, technical queries and service issues.
• Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and a high standard of service.
• Ensure the workshop operates to the required health & safety, warranty and manufacturer standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency, customer satisfaction and overall performance.
• Work closely with the Owner to ensure the smooth and successful running of the Service Department.

Are you an experienced automotive professional ready to take the next step in your career?

Our client, an established motor dealership based in West Cork, within a commutable distance of Cork City, is looking for an experienced Service Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of its Service and Workshop Department.

This is a hands-on management role where you will have a direct impact on workshop performance, customer experience and the overall success of the aftersales operation. You will lead a small, experienced team while working closely with the business owner, giving you genuine responsibility and the opportunity to make your mark.

The role would suit an experienced Service Manager, Workshop Controller or Senior Service Advisor, as well as a qualified mechanic with strong workshop experience who is ready to progress into management.

What You Will Be Doing

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in Service Management, Workshop Management or Workshop Control.
• A qualified mechanic with strong workshop experience who is ready to move into a management position will be considered.
• Senior Service Advisors with strong technical knowledge and workshop experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, repairs and workshop operations.
• Excellent organisational, communication and people management skills.
• Customer-focused approach with the confidence to handle more complex service issues.
• Full driving licence.
