Job summary

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Trainer for Service in our Food and Beverage Company to join our team on a full-time basis in West Jakarta, Jakarta. This is a strategic position within our organisation, responsible for developing and enhancing the service capabilities of our staff across all operational areas. As a Trainer Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all team members meet our high standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and professional conduct. Your expertise and mentorship will directly impact the quality of service we deliver and the overall success of our Food and Beverage operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver comprehensive training programmes for front-of-house and back-of-house staff across all service areas
• Conduct induction and onboarding training for new employees to ensure they understand company standards, procedures and service protocols
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to service staff to enhance their skills, knowledge and professional development
• Assess training needs through observation, feedback and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement
• Develop and maintain training materials, manuals, documentation and resources that support consistent service delivery
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and adjust content based on performance metrics and feedback
• Conduct refresher training and specialised sessions on customer service, food safety, hygiene standards and operational procedures
• Support the implementation of new service initiatives, menu changes and operational improvements through targeted training
• Maintain training records and documentation to track employee development and compliance with company standards
• Collaborate with management and operational teams to ensure training aligns with business objectives and service excellence goals

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in Food and Beverage service environments, with at least 3–5 years in a service-oriented role
• Demonstrated experience in training, coaching or mentoring staff within the hospitality or service industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service standards, protocols and best practices
• Strong understanding of customer service excellence and ability to communicate these principles effectively to others
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate and inspire diverse teams
• Organisational skills with the ability to develop structured training programmes and manage multiple training initiatives
• Proficiency in using training materials, audio-visual equipment and basic computer applications
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and relevant health regulations within the Food and Beverage industry
• Patience, adaptability and a genuine commitment to staff development and continuous improvement
• Fluency in Indonesian and English is preferred; multilingual abilities are an advantage
