2. Customer Acquisition:
Actively source and identify new customers and projects through market research and networking.
Prepare detailed sales quotations for customer projects and tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
Liaise with Operations, Logistics, and Accounts teams in Singapore to ensure seamless fulfilment of customer orders.
Ensure prompt and clear communication with all departments to facilitate timely delivery and resolve any issues.
Monitor the status of orders and provide regular updates to customers.
Address any customer concerns or inquiries promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Responsible for collection of payments from customers.
Requirements
- 1. Educational Background
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Civil Engineering or Marine Engineering.
- A fundamental understanding of geotechnical engineering, building structures, soil mechanic, and construction materials is essential.
- 2. Professional Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of work experience in technical design, sales, business development, or project management within the underground and waterfront infrastructures.
- Proven track record in handling high-value B2B or B2G (Government/State-Owned Enterprise) projects.
- Experience interacting with planning consultants, main contractors, or port authorities is a significant advantage.
- 3. Technical Competencies (Hard Skills)
- Product & Application Understanding: Ability to read technical drawings (CAD), understand steel material specifications.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the underground project, and waterfront infrastructure market.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency in supporting software such as AutoCAD (for reading drawings), software geotechnical such as plaxis or Geo5 and the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel for price quotation calculations).
- Project Analysis: Ability to calculate the Bill of Quantities (BQ) based on technical specifications from tenders or client requirements.
- 4. Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills)
- Communication & Negotiation: Possesses refined persuasion skills, particularly when explaining complex technical solutions to clients who also have technical backgrounds.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders (consultants, project managers, executives).
- Problem Solving: Analytical thinking when facing on-site challenges or changes in technical specifications requested by the client.
- Resilience: Tenacity in navigating long sales cycles (infrastructure projects often involve lengthy lead times from tender to realization).
- 5. Additional Requirements
- Language: Fluent in Indonesian and English (spoken and written) to facilitate communication with overseas principals or multinational clients.
- Mobility: Willing to travel to project sites.
- License: Possession of a Class A driver's license (preferred)
