The role reports to the HR Manager, requiring 3–5 years in HRGA with leadership experience, and fluency in Indonesian and English.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years in HR and GA roles with at least 2 years in supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws and employment practices.
  • Fluency in Indonesian and English (written and spoken).
  • Experience in manufacturing, transport or logistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily HR and GA activities and ensure tasks meet standards.
  • Oversee recruitment processes from postings to onboarding.
  • Manage personnel records and HR documentation per law and policy.
  • Process payroll docs, leaves, attendance and related admin.
  • Support policy implementation and workplace regulations.
  • Coordinate training and induction for new staff.
  • Handle employee relations including performance and discipline.
  • Maintain office facilities, supplies and services.
  • Prepare HR reports for management and compliance.
  • Liaise with government agencies, healthcare providers, and contractors.

About the role

PT HSC Indonesia (Medan) is seeking a dedicated SPV HRGA (Supervisor Human Resources and General Affairs) to join our team in a full-time capacity. Based in Labuhanbatu Utara, Sumatera Utara, this is a pivotal supervisory position within our Human Resources and General Affairs department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR and administrative operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and Indonesian labour regulations, and supporting the broader objectives of our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations. This position reports directly to the HR Manager and plays a crucial role in maintaining organisational efficiency and employee satisfaction across our operations.

Key responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the HR and General Affairs team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards
  • Manage employee recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews and onboarding procedures
  • Administer personnel records, employee files and HR documentation in compliance with Indonesian labour laws and company policies
  • Process payroll documentation, leave requests, attendance records and other employee-related administrative matters
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of company policies, codes of conduct and workplace regulations
  • Coordinate employee training and development programmes, including induction for new staff
  • Handle employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary procedures and grievance resolution
  • Maintain and manage general office facilities, supplies and services to ensure a productive work environment
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate records for management review and compliance purposes
  • Liaise with external parties such as government agencies, healthcare providers and contractors as required
  • Support health, safety and security initiatives within the workplace
What we’re looking for
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HR and General Affairs roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian labour laws, regulations and employment practices
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively
  • Proficiency in HR management systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling personnel records and documentation
  • Knowledge of payroll administration and employee benefits management
  • Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to workplace challenges
  • Fluency in Indonesian and English languages (both written and spoken)
  • Preferably, a background or familiarity with the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector would be advantageous
