About the role

PT HSC Indonesia is seeking an experienced SPV Engineering to join our engineering team in Labuhanbatu Utara, Sumatera Utara. This is a full-time position based on-site at our facility. As SPV Engineering, you will play a crucial supervisory and technical leadership role within our Electrical/Electronic Engineering operations. You will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting the strategic objectives of the organisation. This position is integral to our operational success and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our engineering capabilities and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate engineering teams to ensure efficient execution of electrical and electronic engineering projects
• Monitor project progress, timelines and budgets to ensure all deliverables meet company standards and client requirements
• Conduct technical inspections and quality assurance checks on engineering work to guarantee compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff, supporting their professional development and skill enhancement
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of engineering activities, including project reports, technical specifications and maintenance records
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs within the engineering department
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations across all engineering operations
• Liaise with clients, project managers and other departments to communicate technical requirements and project status
• Manage spare parts inventory and equipment maintenance schedules to ensure optimal operational readiness
• Investigate technical issues and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime and disruptions

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in electrical and electronic engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, electronic equipment, control systems and industrial automation
• Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution and quality control
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Solid understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in technical documentation and report writing
• Problem-solving capability and ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
• Strong communication skills in Indonesian and preferably English
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in electrical or electronic engineering
• Experience in manufacturing, production or industrial operations is highly desirable
• Familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and engineering software
