Otazen, a growing independent global-scale furniture manufacturing company, is opening an opportunity for a meticulous professional to join as Site Quality Control, to be placed at project sites. As Site Quality Control, you will be responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of installation and interior fit‑out work on site, ensuring every stage of execution complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards before handover to the client.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections at each stage of on‑site installation and fit‑out work (partitions, ceiling, flooring, joinery, custom furniture, etc.) against approved technical/shop drawings and specifications
- Identify defects, deviations, and non‑conformities in materials or workmanship, and ensure timely corrective actions by the site team or subcontractors
- Prepare and maintain inspection checklists, quality reports, and defect/snag lists for each project area
- Verify incoming materials and components on site to ensure they match approved specifications before installation
- Coordinate with the Site Manager, Site Supervisor, and Technical team to resolve quality issues and confirm rework has been completed correctly
- Conduct final inspection and prepare punch lists prior to client handover, and follow up on closure of all outstanding items
- Document quality inspection evidence, including photos, checklists, and reports, for project records
- Ensure compliance with Otazen's construction standards and client specifications throughout the installation process
- Support troubleshooting of quality‑related issues arising from design, material, or workmanship
- Prepare periodic quality reports for project management
About you
- Minimum D3/S1 in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in quality control, preferably with a background in interior fit‑out, furniture manufacturing, or construction projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical/shop drawings and specifications
- Solid understanding of furniture and interior fit‑out construction methods, materials, and quality standards
- Meticulous, detail‑oriented, and able to make accurate quality assessments
- Good communication and coordination skills across project teams and with subcontractors
- Willing to be placed and relocate to project sites as required
- Physically fit and willing to work in an active construction/installation site environment
