OTAZEN in Indonesia is seeking a Site Quantity Surveyor to measure, verify, and control quantities and costs on interior fit-out and installation projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking and financial control.
You will work with the site team to verify drawings, BOQ, and contract documents; prepare cost calculations, progress claims, and final accounts; monitor material usage and variances; review variation orders; liaise with Purchasing and Costing; and generate cost-to-date reports to support
As Site Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for measuring, verifying, and controlling the quantity and cost of materials and work executed on site, ensuring accurate cost tracking and supporting financial control throughout interior fit-out and installation projects.
Key responsibilities
Measure and verify quantities of materials and work completed on site against approved drawings, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and contract documents
Prepare and update site measurement records, progress claims, and payment certificates for subcontractors and vendors based on actual work completed
Monitor material usage on site and compare against approved breakdown/BOQ to identify variances and prevent cost overruns
Review variation orders (VO) and additional work requests, and prepare supporting quantity and cost calculations for approval
Coordinate with the Site Manager, Site Supervisor, and Technical team to verify work progress and resolve discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions
Liaise with Purchasing and Costing teams regarding material pricing, procurement status, and cost reconciliation
Prepare periodic cost and progress reports (cost-to-date, remaining budget, work completion percentage) for project management
Assist in reviewing subcontractor invoices and claims to ensure accuracy before submission for payment
Support project close-out by preparing final account documentation and reconciling actual costs against the original budget
Maintain organized records of measurements, claims, and cost documentation for each project
About you
Minimum D3/S1 in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related field
Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a background in interior fit-out, construction, or furniture manufacturing projects
Strong ability to read and interpret technical/shop drawings, BOQ, and contract documents
Solid understanding of material quantification, cost estimation, and construction/fit-out work methods
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo) is an added value
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in quantity and cost verification
Good communication and coordination skills across project teams and with vendors/subcontractors
Willing to be placed and relocate to project sites as required
