Job summary

Otazen is seeking an experienced Project Supervisor to be placed at project sites in Indonesia. You will directly supervise day-to-day installation and interior fit-out work on site, ensuring alignment with technical drawings, schedule, and quality standards, while reporting progress to the Site Manager.

The role requires reading drawings, coordinating site teams, and enforcing safety (K3) practices. International-standard furniture manufacturing background is a plus; relocation to project sites

Job description

Otazen, a growing independent global-scale furniture manufacturing company, is opening an opportunity for an experienced professional to join as Project Supervisor, to be placed at project sites. As Project Supervisor, you will be responsible for directly supervising day-to-day installation and interior fit-out work on site, ensuring work is carried out according to technical drawings, schedule, and quality standards, while reporting progress to the Site Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site installation and fit-out activities (partitions, ceiling, flooring, joinery, custom furniture, etc.), ensuring work follows approved technical/shop drawings
• Coordinate and direct site workers and subcontractors in executing daily work plans, ensuring productivity and adherence to schedule
• Check and verify work quality at each stage, identify defects or deviations from specifications, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly
• Monitor material usage and site inventory, and report material needs to the Site Manager in a timely manner
• Ensure site workers comply with safety (K3) procedures and proper use of PPE during work execution
• Assist in troubleshooting technical and installation issues on site, escalating to the Site Manager or Technical team when needed
• Coordinate with other trades on-site (MEP, civil, other contractors) to avoid work clashes and ensure smooth installation sequencing
• Prepare daily site progress reports, including manpower, work completed, and issues encountered
• Support the Site Manager in managing site documentation, including progress photos, checklists, and defect/snag lists
• Ensure tools, equipment, and materials on site are used and stored properly

About you

• Minimum D3/S1 in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Supervisor, preferably with a background in interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing, or construction projects
• Able to read and understand architectural, interior, and technical/shop drawings
• Solid understanding of furniture and interior fit-out construction methods and materials
• Experience supervising workers and coordinating daily site activities
• Good knowledge of occupational safety (K3) practices on site
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willing to be placed and relocate to project sites as required
• Physically fit and willing to work in an active construction/installation site environment
