Job summary

Otazen is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee on-site interior fit-out projects at client sites. You will be responsible for on-site execution, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and conformance to drawings and quality standards.

Minimum 4–6 years in site management, with a background in interior fit-out or furniture manufacturing, and strong leadership and drawing-reading skills. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Civil/Architecture/Interior).
• 4–6 years in site management, especially interior fit-out or furniture/construction.
• Strong ability to read architectural and shop drawings.
• Solid knowledge of furniture/fit-out construction methods and materials.
• Experience coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site installation and fit-out activities from mobilization to handover.
• Verify drawings against site conditions and coordinate adjustments.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and vendors; plan manpower and daily work.
• Coordinate with MEP and other trades to resolve clashes.
• Monitor materials, inventory, and site safety on the project site.
• Conduct QC checks and manage defect lists to resolution.
• Prepare progress reports for Head of Technical and client.

Job description

Otazen, a growing independent global-scale furniture manufacturing company, is opening an opportunity for an experienced professional to join as Site Manager, overseeing interior fit-out projects at client sites. As Site Manager, you will be fully responsible for on-site execution — ensuring that furniture installation and interior fit-out work (partitions, ceiling, flooring, joinery, custom furniture, etc.) is completed on time, within budget, and according to approved technical drawings and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise on-site installation and fit-out activities from mobilization to handover, ensuring work progresses according to the project schedule and specifications
• Review and verify technical/shop drawings against actual site conditions, and coordinate with the Technical/Drafter team for adjustments when discrepancies arise
• Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and vendors, including manpower planning and daily work allocation
• Coordinate with other trades on-site (MEP, civil, other contractors) to resolve clashes and ensure smooth, conflict-free installation
• Monitor material delivery, usage, and site inventory in coordination with the Warehouse and Logistics teams
• Ensure compliance with site safety (K3) standards, including proper use of PPE and safe work practices
• Conduct quality control checks during and after installation, and manage defect/snag lists through to resolution before final handover
• Handle on-site troubleshooting and problem-solving across design, material, and installation issues
• Prepare daily/weekly site progress reports and communicate project status to the Head of Technical, Project Manager, and client as needed
• Manage site documentation, including progress photos, attendance, work permits, and handover records

About you

• Minimum S1 in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in site management, preferably with a background in interior fit-out, furniture manufacturing, or construction projects
• Strong ability to read architectural, interior, and technical/shop drawings
• Solid understanding of furniture and interior fit-out construction methods and materials
• Proven experience managing site teams, subcontractors, and project schedules
• Good knowledge of occupational safety (K3) standards on site
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure
• Good communication and coordination skills across divisions and with clients
• Willing to travel and be based at project sites as required
