Job summary

KitaHire Indonesia is seeking a senior procurement professional to source and purchase agricultural products directly from farmers and traders across Lampung, Southern Sumatra, and Java.

You will build supplier networks, negotiate terms, monitor market developments, and coordinate with QA, Production, Finance, and Logistics to meet quality and supply needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 6 years in buying, procurement, trading, or sourcing.
• Experience purchasing agricultural products from farmers, collectors, traders, or cooperatives.
• Strong understanding of Lampung, Southern Sumatra, and Java supply chains.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase agricultural products directly from farmers, collectors, traders, cooperatives, and other suppliers.
• Develop and maintain a strong supplier network across Lampung, Southern Sumatra, and Java.
• Monitor market prices, product availability, and market developments to identify sourcing opportunities.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, quality, volumes, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Coordinate with Laboratory, PPIC, Production, Finance, and Logistics to ensure supply and quality requirements are met.
• Provide market intelligence, purchasing updates, and commercial recommendations to management.
• Prepare purchasing, supplier, market analysis, and exposure reports.
• Identify commercial and operational risks and recommend mitigation measures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Source and purchase agricultural products directly from farmers, collectors, traders, cooperatives, and other suppliers.

Develop and maintain a strong supplier network across Lampung, Southern Sumatra, and Java.

Monitor market prices, product availability, and market developments to identify sourcing opportunities.

Negotiate competitive pricing, quality, volumes, payment terms, and delivery conditions.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.

Conduct regular field visits to sourcing areas and supplier locations.

Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, reliability, and commercial terms.

Coordinate with Laboratory, PPIC, Production, Finance, and Logistics to ensure supply and quality requirements are met.

Provide market intelligence, purchasing updates, and commercial recommendations to management.

Prepare purchasing, supplier, market analysis, and exposure reports.

Conduct risk assessments, KYC, supplier evaluations, and agreement reviews while ensuring compliance with the company's Code of Conduct.

Identify commercial and operational risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree (S1) in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Business Management, Economics, Food/Commodity Trading, or a related field.

Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in buying, procurement, trading, or sourcing.

Proven experience in purchasing agricultural products directly from farmers, collectors, intermediaries, traders, cooperatives, or other suppliers.

Strong knowledge of the Indonesian agricultural supply chain, particularly in Lampung, Southern Sumatra, and Java.

An established network of farmers, collectors, intermediaries, and traders is highly preferred.

Good understanding of agricultural product quality, grading, processing, and factors affecting product value.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate pricing, quality, supply availability, and purchasing opportunities.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Willingness to travel regularly to sourcing areas and supplier locations.
