PT Rubber and Rubber Tech seeks a Procurement Specialist to identify and develop a network of local suppliers for scrap tires and rubber chips across Indonesia. You will visit suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure a steady supply aligned with production needs.
The role requires a minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor''s in a related field, at least three years in purchasing or sourcing, and fluent English. Travel across Indonesia for supplier surveys is required.
Identify, evaluate, and develop a network of local suppliers for the procurement of raw materials, particularly scrap tires and rubber chips.
Conduct field surveys and visit suppliers, scrap tire collectors (scrap dealers), and potential business partners across various regions of Indonesia.
Negotiate pricing, quality, payment terms, and commercial agreements to obtain high-quality raw materials at competitive prices.
Ensure a consistent supply of raw materials in line with the company's production requirements.
Monitor and evaluate the quality of incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with the company's quality standards.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure a sustainable supply of raw materials.
Coordinate with the Quality Control, Warehouse, and Production teams regarding the receipt and utilization of raw materials.
Prepare procurement reports, supplier survey reports, market price analyses, and sourcing activity reports for management.
Monitor raw material price trends and market conditions to support effective procurement strategies.
Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Sourcing, preferably in the procurement of locally sourced scrap tires as raw materials.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers.
Good understanding of domestic logistics, Supply Chain Management, and procurement processes.
Ability to conduct market price analysis and supplier evaluations.
Must be fluent in both spoken and written English.
Willing to travel extensively throughout Indonesia for supplier surveys and supplier development activities.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of EPTE procedures, Bonded Zone (Kawasan Berikat) regulations, or customs administration processes is an advantage.
