Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement/Sourcing professional to lead strategic sourcing initiatives within FMCG sectors. The role focuses on RFP/RFX/RFQ processes, supplier negotiation, and cost-saving opportunities across multiple categories.

You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant procurement solutions, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement in spend efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years experience in Procurement/Sourcing, preferably FMCG (local or multinational).
• Hands on experience with Zycus/Coupa/Ariba or similar procurement/CRM tools.
• Experience with AI-based intake/orchestration tools (e.g., ORO, Avammo) is beneficial.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Green/Black belt or lean certifications preferred.
• Any sourcing/project management certification/course preferred.
• US/UK sourcing experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree from a reputed university; top 5 Indonesian universities strongly preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Procure goods and services, obtains quotation, develops proposals and/or negotiates contracts of low to moderate value/risk consistent with client requirements.
• Good understanding and experience on RFP / RFX / RFQ is required to be managed via formal ERP / procurement tool based sourcing. Understanding of eAuction is mandatory.
• Understanding on upstream and downstream sourcing process, namely S2P and P2P process.
• Manage Proactive engagements activity for operational planned spend opportunities within defined operational spend levels
• Manage transactional buying desk activities and support wider category management including raising purchase orders
• Quotation analysis and recommendations, consideration suitability/reliability of suppliers to meet operational requirements and as per Client Procurement Policy/Sourcing guidelines
• Negotiate with Suppliers on both Commercial and Non Commercial Clauses as per guidance
• Obtain approval from Client Category Manager on finalized projects
• Support Drafting of Contract as Client and Senior Buyer instructions
• Record Savings in the Client Savings Data Base
• Engagement with operational teams to review pipeline and track savings opportunities
• Work closely with category managers and business units to establish and deliver procurement requirements, strategic benefits and compliance to existing procurement contracts
• Should be able to effectively manage internal / external customers & stake holders
• Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned
• Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
• Act as a single point of contact to the client and maintain good relations.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years experience in Procurement/Sourcing, preferably within a leading FMCG organization (local or multinational), with exposure to Professional Services, Media, Topline/Marketing Spend, and/or Capex categories.
• Hands on experience on Zycus (preference) / Coupa, Ariba or similar systems for procurement / CRM tools
• Experience on any AI based in take / orchestration tool (eg ORO, Avammo etc) will be beneficial.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Green belt / Black belt / certified lean professional will be preferred.
• Any sourcing / project management certification / course will be a preference.
• US / UK sourcing experience will be preferred.
• Education – Bachelor's degree from a reputed university. For Indonesia-based hiring, graduates from Top 5 universities in Indonesia will be strongly preferred. Master's degree, Engineering degree, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related disciplines will be an advantage.
• Alternatively, a top-performing Senior Supervisor from a recognized Management Trainee, Leadership Development, or Talent Pool program with demonstrated leadership potential.
• Strong blend of operational procurement execution, stakeholder management, supplier management, and strategic sourcing expertise.
• Excellent communication is key to this role – Both written and verbal
