Midea Electronics Indonesia is hiring a Sales Modern Channel professional in Central Jakarta to drive growth in modern retail channels. You will build and sustain relationships with hypermarkets, supermarkets, and department stores, ensuring optimal product placement and promotions.

The role requires proven modern retail/B2B sales experience, strong negotiation, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with marketing and logistics on launches and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Indonesia retail landscape (hypermarkets, supermarkets).
• Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with modern retail partners including hypermarkets, supermarkets, and department stores.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the modern retail channel.
• Conduct regular store visits to monitor product placement, stock, and promotions.
• Deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to retail partners and decision-makers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotions with retail partners to meet targets.
• Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the modern retail channel.
• Collaborate with marketing and logistics for launches and campaigns.
• Track sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity.
• Prepare sales reports and forecasts for management.
• Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.

About the role

We are seeking a talented and driven Sales Modern Channel professional to join our sales team in Central Jakarta. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in expanding our market presence through modern retail channels. As a Sales Modern Channel representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with modern retail partners, driving sales growth, and ensuring our products are positioned effectively in key retail environments. This role is integral to achieving our sales targets and strengthening Midea's brand presence across Indonesia's modern retail landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with modern retail partners including hypermarkets, supermarkets, and department stores
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the modern retail channel to expand product distribution
• Conduct regular store visits to monitor product placement, stock levels, and promotional activities
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to retail partners and key decision-makers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional agreements with retail partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
• Develop and execute effective sales strategies tailored to the modern retail channel
• Collaborate with internal teams including marketing and logistics to ensure successful product launches and promotional campaigns
• Track sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review
• Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in sales within the modern retail channel or similar B2B sales environment
• Strong understanding of the retail landscape in Indonesia, particularly hypermarkets and supermarket networks
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems
• Fluency in Indonesian and English languages
• Willingness to travel regularly to meet with retail partners and conduct store visits
• High level of energy, enthusiasm, and resilience in a competitive sales environment
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field is preferred
