Job summary

Chandra Asri Group in Cilegon, Indonesia, is seeking a PE Product Development Specialist to coordinate improvements from market and plant issues, ensuring timely resolution and expanding the PE product portfolio.

You will perform lab work and pilot trials, develop and revise PE specs, investigate CCR/NF, manage TRR/TRE, and lead CI, QA/QMS/ISO activities while collaborating with external partners to drive innovation and maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• 2–6 years experience in a similar role at a plastic/film packaging company.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Execute and coordinate PE product improvement from market/plant issues for timely resolution.
• Develop new PE products including polymer design, plant capability, and specs.
• Review and revise PE product specs and develop specs for new PE grades.
• Investigate CCR and NF and find solutions to recurrence problems.
• Perform lab work and lab-scale trials, manage NCRs for abnormal cases.
• Collaborate with external parties (licensors, catalyst/additive suppliers, customers, universities) to drive innovation.
• Coordinate audits for PE product quality with suppliers or customers.
• Lead CI activities (IPM, FI) and QMS/ISO programs for operational excellence.

Responsibility

• Execute and coordinate all activities for PE product improvement calling from market and/or plant issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Working on new PE product development including but not limited to polymer design, plant capability, product spec, etc to expand product portfolio and meet evolving market needs. Plant trial management, including managing Trial Run Request (TRR) and Trial Run Evaluation (TRE) for PE product to assess product performance.
• Review existing PE product spec, propose the revision when required, and develop product spec for new PE grade.
• Handling Customer Complaint (CCR) and Negative Feedback (NF) investigation as well as to find out the solution of reoccurrence problem.
• Execute lab work and/or lab scale trial in order to conduct product improvement/development. Perform qualification work for RCACB, manage Non-Conformity Report (NCR) of abnormal case to find out the resolution
• Perform research collaboration with external parties, including with technology licensor, catalyst/additive manufacturer, suppliers, vendors, customers, sister company, university, research institution, etc to drive innovation and enhance product development efforts.
• Handling and in-charge for audit activities to suppliers or from customers with regard to PE product to address any concerns related to PE product quality.
• Handling and in-charge for CI activities (IPM, FI, etc) as well as TQM activities (QMS, ISO, etc) to conduct continuous improvement initiatives for operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in major of Chemical Engineering/ Material Engineering/ Material Science/ Physical Material
• Have 2-6 years experience in similar position from plastic flexible packaging company
• Fluent in English both spoken & written
