You will support R&D, conduct evaluations, and liaise with production to commercialize innovations while building relationships with clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in chemical engineering, R&D support, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of chemical processes and product development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to R&D teams for design, testing, and optimisation.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new chemical engineering projects.
• Collaborate with R&D to troubleshoot technical challenges.
• Develop and maintain technical docs and SOPs.
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities.
• Support commercialization through liaison with production.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and clients.
• Prepare technical proposals and reports.
• Contribute to BD initiatives including pricing strategies.
• Monitor industry trends and technologies.

This is a full-time position that combines technical expertise with business acumen to drive innovation and growth within our chemical engineering operations. You will play a crucial role in bridging our research and development capabilities with market opportunities, ensuring our technical solutions translate into successful business outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of cutting-edge chemical technology and strategic business expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive technical support to research and development teams, assisting in the design, testing and optimisation of chemical processes and products
• Conduct technical evaluations and feasibility studies for new chemical engineering projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with R&D personnel to troubleshoot technical challenges and implement practical solutions
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures and quality assurance protocols
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities aligned with our chemical engineering capabilities
• Support the commercialisation of R&D innovations through liaison with production and operations teams
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product development strategies
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients and potential business partners
• Prepare technical proposals, presentations and reports for clients and internal management
• Contribute to business development initiatives, including pricing strategies and product positioning
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to chemical engineering solutions

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in chemical engineering, R&D support or a related technical role
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, product development and manufacturing practices
• Proven experience in providing technical support within a laboratory or industrial environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Proficiency in technical software, data analysis tools and laboratory information systems
• Experience with business development, market analysis or client relationship management is highly valued
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities
• Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional languages are advantageous
• Professional certifications relevant to chemical engineering or quality management (such as ISO standards) are beneficial
