Job summary

PT Astari Niagara Indonesia is seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead our development activities in Cikupa. You will drive new product development, oversee reformulation efforts, and ensure projects meet budget and timing.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Polymer Science, 8+ years in chemical/polymer manufacturing, and at least 3 years in an Assistant Manager role. Proficiency with ERP and lab equipment is required, and willingness to work six days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Polymer Science is essential.
• 8+ years of experience in chemical/polymer manufacturing in a similar role, with at least 3 years as Assistant Manager in R&D.
• Strong understanding of polymer and chemical materials.
• Experience in New Product Development and Material Substitution.

Job description

PT Astari Niagara Indonesia is looking for a Research and Development (R&D) Manager to join us for a placement in Cikupa.

Responsibilities:

Ensure New Product Development activities to be implemented effective - efficiently and aligned with the company objectives.

Enhance existing product performance through reformulation, identify material substitution opportunities for cost efficiency, and benchmark competitor technologies to maintain a competitive portfolio.

Oversee the entire development process both for existing and new products and ensuring the R&D budget objectives are met & on time, while maintaining a strong and competitive consumable innovation portfolio.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Polymer Science is a must have.

Minimum 8 years of work experience in Chemical/polymer manufacturing in similar role, with minimum 3 years as Assistant Manager role in R&D.

Strong understanding polymer and chemical material.

Significant Experience R&D including New Product Development and Material Substitution

Familiarity with operating lab equipment

Good proficiency in ERP system.

Creative and innovative, hands on, good analytical, process oriented

Willing to work 6 days in a week (Saturday half-day).
