Job summary

PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya seeks an Experienced EPRD Head to lead ongoing product improvement initiatives and drive excellence across R&D and manufacturing functions. The successful candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Food Technology or related field with 3–5 years in Food R&D and strong English communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (Food Technology, Agricultural Technology, Chemical Engineering) or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in Food R&D, especially existing product improvement and process troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of food R&D, dairy/processed foods, manufacturing processes, product functionality, and shelf-life evaluation.
• Familiarity with HACCP, ISO/FSSC 22000, BPOM, halal and food labeling regulations.
• Strong technical problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage existing product improvement strategies based on business needs, market feedback, quality issues, and cost optimization.
• Lead technical problem-solving and troubleshooting related to product quality and manufacturing processes, including CAPA activities.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives through reformulation, alternative materials, sourcing, and process efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Oversee shelf-life, stability, and product consistency evaluations and analyze competitor and market trends.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Engineering, SCM and suppliers to implement product and process improvements.
• Ensure changes in formulation, materials, packaging, and processes comply with regulatory, halal, and food safety requirements.

Existing Product Research Development (EPRD) Head

Develop and manage existing product improvement strategies based on business needs, market feedback, quality issues, customer complaints, cost optimization, and manufacturing efficiency.

Lead technical problem-solving and troubleshooting related to product quality and manufacturing processes, including corrective and preventive actions.

Drive cost optimization initiatives through reformulation, alternative raw materials, sourcing strategies, and process efficiency while maintaining product quality.

Oversee shelf-life, stability, and product consistency evaluations, as well as competitor and market trend analysis.

Collaborate with Production, QA, Engineering, SCM, and suppliers to implement product and process improvements.

Ensure changes in formulation, raw materials, packaging, and processes comply with regulatory, halal, food safety, and customer requirements.

Manage technical documentation and reports related to trials, formulations, specifications, and product development.

Job Requirements :

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Food Technology, Agricultural Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Food R&D, particularly in existing product improvement, process troubleshooting, and team management.

Strong knowledge of food R&D, dairy/processed food, manufacturing processes, product functionality, and shelf-life evaluation.

Knowledge of HACCP, ISO/FSSC 22000, BPOM, halal, and food labeling regulations.

Strong technical problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office with good English communication skills.
