Job summary

PT Astari Niagara Indonesia is seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead our development activities in Cikupa. You will drive new product development, oversee reformulation efforts, and ensure projects meet budget and timing.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Polymer Science, 8+ years in chemical/polymer manufacturing, and at least 3 years in an Assistant Manager role. Proficiency with ERP and lab equipment is required, and willingness to work six days a week.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Polymer Science is essential.
8+ years of experience in chemical/polymer manufacturing in a similar role, with at least 3 years as Assistant Manager in R&D.
Strong understanding of polymer and chemical materials.
Experience in New Product Development and Material Substitution.

Responsibilities

Lead New Product Development activities and ensure alignment with company objectives.
Enhance product performance through reformulation and material substitutions for cost efficiency.
Oversee the entire development process and manage R&D budget to meet targets and timelines.
Maintain a strong, innovative consumable portfolio and drive competitive benchmarking.
