Job summary

Svara Boutique Residences in Bali is seeking a hands-on Residence Manager to support the Operations Manager and oversee day-to-day operations across Front Office, Butler, Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B, and other teams. You will ensure villas and guest areas meet Svara’s high standards and coordinate across departments.

This role requires a highly organised, guest-focused professional who can translate standards into consistent execution on the ground and promptly address operational and guest

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of hospitality operations experience, preferably in villa, boutique hotel, resort, or luxury setting.
• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of daily hospitality operations and service standards.
• Hands-on approach with capable coordination across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
• Coordinate Front Office, Butler, Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B and other teams.
• Monitor villas, facilities and guest areas to maintain standards.
• Conduct regular property inspections and follow up on issues.
• Support guest arrivals, requests, complaints, and special arrangements.
• Resolve operational and guest issues promptly; escalate when needed.
• Coordinate daily task allocation and staffing coverage.
• Monitor SOPs, service standards, safety procedures and policies.
• Assist with staff briefing, training and performance follow-up.
• Assist with inventory, purchasing, and cost control.
• Review daily reports for issues and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with external vendors to meet standards and timelines.
• Support operational improvements and new initiatives.

Svara Boutique Residences is a boutique hospitality property in Uluwatu, Bali, offering private residences, wellness facilities, and personalised guest service.

We are looking for a Residence Manager to support the Operations Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Svara Boutique Residences.

This is a hands-on operational role for someone who is highly organised, guest-focused, and comfortable coordinating across multiple functions. As the second person within the operations team, you will help translate operational standards into consistent execution across the property.

The Role

You will:

• Support the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operations of Svara Boutique Residences
• Act as a key operational leader on the ground, ensuring smooth coordination between Front Office, Butler, Housekeeping, Engineering, F&B, and other operational teams
• Monitor daily operations and ensure villas, facilities, and guest areas are consistently maintained to Svara’s standards
• Conduct regular property and villa inspections, following up on defects, maintenance issues, cleanliness, and operational readiness
• Support the management of guest arrivals, departures, requests, complaints, and special arrangements
• Step in to resolve operational and guest issues promptly, escalating matters to the Operations Manager when required
• Coordinate daily task allocation, staff coverage, and operational priorities across departments
• Monitor adherence to SOPs, service standards, safety procedures, and company policies
• Support staff briefing, training, coaching, and performance follow-up
• Assist with inventory, purchasing, operational supplies, and cost control
• Review daily operational reports and identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure work is completed according to agreed standards and timelines
• Support the Operations Manager in implementing operational improvements and new initiatives
• Act as the Operations Manager’s representative when required and take responsibility for the property in their absence

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in hospitality operations, preferably within a villa, boutique hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment
• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of day-to-day hospitality operations, including guest service, housekeeping, maintenance, and front office
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Confident in coordinating multiple teams and priorities simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to operations
• Good understanding of hospitality SOPs, service standards, and operational reporting
• Comfortable using PMS and other operational systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
• Willingness to be hands-on and involved in the day-to-day running of the property
