Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in academic advising or student support services in higher education.
• Strong understanding of academic policies, curriculum structures, and student development theories.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with SIS and advising technologies.
• Ability to work remotely in a tech-driven environment.
• Strong organizational skills and caseload management.
• Empathy, patience, and commitment to student success.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive academic advising on course selection, program requirements, and planning.
• Monitor student progress, identify issues, and implement interventions as needed.
• Explain university policies, procedures, and academic regulations.
• Assist students in exploring career options and connect with resources.
• Facilitate workshops on study skills, career exploration, and academic success.
• Maintain accurate, confidential student records in compliance with privacy rules.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student support services for holistic development.
• Serve as primary contact for academic guidance in a remote learning context.
