Job summary

PT Sanpota Batara Indonesia is seeking a Purchasing Staff to execute purchasing processes based on sales, inventory and operational needs. You will source suppliers, manage supplier relationships and negotiate terms to support cost efficiency.

The role requires coordinating with Warehouse, Logistics and Sales teams for inbound and delivery needs, and creating accurate POs until goods arrive. You will contribute to product development and cost analysis, conduct price comparisons, and prepare ERP

Purchasing Staff at PT Sanpota Batara Indonesia, a B2B packaging specialist company. The role involves executing purchasing processes based on sales, inventory, and operational needs, conducting supplier sourcing and management, supporting product development and cost analysis, coordinating inventory and delivery, and managing purchasing administration and reporting through ERP systems.

Key responsibilities

Execute purchasing processes for goods based on sales, inventory, and operational requirements

Conduct price searches, comparisons, negotiations, and supplier selection

Create and monitor Purchase Orders until goods are received on schedule

Ensure price, specification, quantity, and quality compliance of goods

Source and develop new supplier and manufacturer networks

Evaluate supplier pricing, quality, lead time, production capacity, and performance

Maintain good communication and working relationships with suppliers

Identify alternative suppliers to ensure product availability and price competitiveness

Support new product development, custom printing, and custom specifications

Conduct cost analysis, quotation comparisons, and cost efficiency recommendations

Coordinate with Warehouse, Logistics, and Sales teams for inbound and delivery needs

Monitor late deliveries, stock shortages, and potential overstock situations

Manage purchasing administration and data updates through ERP Accurate system

Prepare reports on price monitoring, purchases, outstanding POs, and supplier performance

About you

Minimum D3/S1 education from any field, preferably Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field

Minimum 1 year experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain

Experience in packaging, plastics, paper, distribution, or manufacturing industries is an advantage

Strong negotiation, communication, price analysis, and problem-solving skills

Proficient with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data processing and analysis

Understanding of Purchase Order processes, supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, and inventory management

Experience with Accurate ERP is an advantage

Detail-oriented, disciplined, responsive, with high initiative and ability to work towards targets

Able to actively coordinate with various divisions

Analytical thinking capability to compare price, quality, risk, and efficiency opportunities

Proactive approach and fast response capability
