PYFA Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchasing Officer (Offshore) to support one of our Australian subsidiaries, Probiotec Pty Ltd. This position will be based at PYFA Group Head Office in Sudirman, South Jakarta, and will work closely with the Australian operations team.
This position plays a critical role in supporting procurement and material inventory management, including managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, maintaining accurate system information, and identifying potential supply risks. The role will also support the Planning team by providing timely updates on supplier performance, material availability, and potential delays.
Reporting to the Procurement & Project Manager in Probiotec (Australia), you will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure materials are available in line with business and customer requirements.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 07:00 – 16:00 WIB
Location: PYFA Group Head Office, Sudirman, South Jakarta

Creating and maintaining purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
Coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
Monitoring supplier performance and purchase order status
Proactively following up on potential delays, supply issues, and delivery risks
Reviewing slow-moving and expired materials and assessing potential future usage
Reviewing open purchase orders on a monthly basis and identifying required delivery date changes based on updated customer requirements
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchasing and material information in the system
Providing timely feedback to the Planning team regarding potential supply risks, delays, and material issues
Collaborating with internal teams across various departments to ensure effective supply chain coordination
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Preparing ad-hoc supply chain reports and conducting basic analysis to support decision-making
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain processes
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Procurement, Administration, or a related field is preferred
Experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, logistics, planning, or customer service is preferred
Good understanding of supply chain and procurement fundamentals
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets, reports, and large amounts of data
Experience working with an ERP system would be an advantage
Strong analytical and solution-focused mindset
Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently in an offshore environment while maintaining effective communication with the Melbourne-based team
Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented approach
Customer-focused and responsive when handling internal and external stakeholder requirements
High level of accountability, ownership, and willingness to take responsibility for assigned tasks
Motivated to identify opportunities and contribute to process improvements within the supply chain
Experience in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, FMCG, packaging, or similar environment would be advantageous
