Job summary

amIT Global Solutions Sdn Bhd in Tangerang seeks an experienced R&D Formulation Manager – Personal Care to lead the development of skincare, haircare and body care formulations from scratch. You will establish processes, oversee trials, and manage scale-up to mass production with emphasis on innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetology, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7–10 years hands-on formulation experience in cosmetic/personal care manufacturing.
• Proven track record of developing new formulations from scratch.
• Portfolio of successful formulation innovation across skincare/haircare/body care.
• Experience leading an R&D formulation team at managerial level.
• Strong expertise in emulsion technology and surfactant chemistry.
• Experience with accelerated and real-time stability testing and formulation validation.
• Experience managing technical scale-up from lab/pilot to mass production.
• Familiarity with Asian raw material supply chains, esp. Mainland China.
• Knowledge of cosmetic regulatory and safety requirements (BPOM Indonesia and/or NMPA).
• Mandarin Chinese fluency is mandatory (spoken and written).
• Local Indonesian candidates with strong Mandarin proficiency welcome; Mainland Chinese candidates preferred and willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation research and product innovation from concept to production-ready formulas.
• Identify opportunities through raw material trends, active ingredients, and consumer insights.
• Design and oversee laboratory trials, formula optimization, and compatibility testing.
• Oversee stability testing and ensure quality standards are met.
• Lead technical scale-up from lab/pilot to mass production while ensuring consistency.
• Develop formulations for skincare, haircare, and body care categories.
• Support formulation development for fragrance, body mist, and related categories.
• Evaluate new materials and active ingredients for feasibility and performance.
• Maintain knowledge of Asian raw material suppliers and technical partners.
• Establish R&D roadmaps, protocols, testing standards, and documentation.
